In your personal opinion, what do you understand it takes for a person to go to heaven?
How does the Bible answer this question?
here There is one word that can be used to answer this question: FAITH
F is for FORGIVENESS
One cannot have eternal life and heaven without Forgiveness. The Bible says, "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." Ephesians 1:7
A is for AVAILABLE
Forgiveness is AVAILABLE for ALL
The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Forgiveness is NOT AUTOMATIC
The Bible says, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21
I is for IMPOSSIBLE
It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.
GOD IS LOVE. John 3:16
GOD IS JUST. Revelation 3:23
MAN IS SINFUL. Romans 3:23
But how can a sinful person enter heaven, where God allows no sin?
T is for TURN
Turn means to REPENT
If you are going the wrong way on a road, you must turn around to go the right way.
Turn from something---sin and self. The Bible says, "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3
Turn to SOMEONE; trust Christ ONLY. The Bible says, "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3
H is for HEAVEN
Heaven is Eternal Life. John 10:10 John 14:3
How can a person have God's forgiveness, heaven, eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord? This is accomplished through a heartfelt prayer:
"Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. I want to be forgiven. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I repent my sins. Please forgive me, come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. Amen."
If you prayed this prayer and meant it, welcome to the family of God! You have just made the most important decision of your life!
Remember that you need to identify with Christ. You need to become a part of a Bible-believing church. We will rejoice with you, receive you, and help you grow as a Christian.
